Execute the design and development of electrical system circuit logic for the control of Recreational Vehicles and their associated devices. Examples include multiplex vehicle control systems, wire harness design related to control systems, and electrical interfaces. 


Work with a dynamic team of Engineers and Designers to create and modify the electrical systems for Recreational Vehicles.  Integrate new automotive technologies, and new configurations of existing technology.  Use engineering software tools such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), Programmable Logic Control (PLC), and Mutiplex CAN-bus network programming to design, develop, and execute in a team environment. This is a hands on role driving the design concept and functionality of the product to an executable process on the shop floor. This role will be critical to development and training of the installation team building the recreation vehicle.  Work with both 12 Volt DC circuits for control of vehicle functions, warning lights, entertainment and monitoring systems.  Work with 120/240 Volt AC circuits provided on the recreation vehicle for powering vehicle functionality, lighting, fans, and all vehicle electronics.  Provide interfaces to all advanced communications and electronics equipment.




Provide direction, development of processes and support of electrical components in order to facilitate success.

• Define systems and standard practices for documentation and print packages, manufacturing installation instructions, harness routing, component installation, etc.

• Define systems and standard practices for load calculations.

• Define systems and standard practices for ensuring code and regulatory compliance.

• Supervising the installation process of the electrical system at concept, including harness design.

• Incorporations of new electrical components and features into new and current products.

• Interfacing with various chassis electrical systems.

• Reducing electrical warranty through electrical design, test and validation procedures.

• Manage electrical development projects.

• Develop electrical process timelines and be accountable for maintaining schedule.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Addressing Operations issues directed at electrical design compliance, suggestions and complaints

• Meet reporting deadlines regarding requests and all company fiscal calendar report deadlines

• Monitor each new design from beginning to launch phase for quality and overall cost containment


• Education:

Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Degree

Auto CAD, schematic, and wire harness drawing standards

• Work Experience:

Experience in developing electrical systems

Computer graphic, design skills

Good communication skills both verbal and written

Project Management skills

Ability to converse at multiple levels

Able to climb stairs as well as crawl under and around products
