Primary Functions:

 

We are seeking an organized, reliable Logistics Group Lead with precise attention to detail to join our growing organization. In this position, you will coordinate product shipping and distribution by working on existing logistics systems and directing daily operations. You will help manage purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, and/or customer service.

 

Logistics Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Leads assigned team members to ensure internal processes are operating efficiently
  • Order, track and report inventory and deliveries
  • Manage third-party completed chassis inventory
  • Respond to shipping complaints, lost items, damages
  • Coordinate all shipments for all locations
  • Follow schedules of product distribution
  • Work with carrier and third-party services
  • Document invoices and payment postings
  • Correspond with customers; report client requests
  • Assist the Sales Team, Production Manager, VP/GM, and other team members when needed to meet schedule
  • Ensure shipping carrier requirements and regulations are met
  • Notify customers if shipments are delayed
  • Track shipments details, locations, ETAs
  • Communicate with carriers regarding service levels
  • Work with managers and team members to implement new strategies and initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes
  • Update service-level reports and provide analysis on findings
  • Inform management of ongoing performance issues

Logistics Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable in the RV or automotive industry
  • 3-5 years previous experience; experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English

  • Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
