Summary

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Representative handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization. Performs human resources duties such as benefits administration, recruiting support and other related work as assigned.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Participates in benefits administration, including claims resolution, approval of invoices for payment, distribution of annual employee notices as required and assisting with benefits reporting requirements.
  • Participates in recruitment efforts for nonexempt personnel; helps coordinate the use of temporary employees; maintains applicant flow logs.
  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Conducts new-employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
  • Runs reports and completes and maintains applicant and current employee EEO records.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

    Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

  • Associates degree in Human Resources or related field. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing and demanding environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail/Accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal or no supervision
  • Proficient in HR policies and procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
