Primary Functions:

  • Provide leadership in human resources to deliver results in the key areas of employee relations, attracting and developing talent, and organizational change.
  • Work with all employees and management to ensure safe working environment with a goal of zero employee recordable injuries.
  • Coordinates broad Human Resources activities including organizing, planning and overseeing the hiring and terminating of employees. Administers policies of the Company, state/federal laws: and assists employees in areas of concern i.e. benefits, FMLA, attendance and payroll deductions.
  • Responsible for processing payroll data per company policy.



Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead necessary changes and improvements within the organization to deliver healthy employee relations and organizational improvement.
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place for ensuring effective communications.
  • Facilitate activities and strategies related to change management to deliver necessary business results.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to managers/supervisors on effective people leadership and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory compliance agencies as it relates to labor, wage and hour and employment laws.
  • Complete, maintain and communicate company’s annual Affirmative Action Program.
  • Promote use and application of lean manufacturing/six sigma/continuous improvement tools as part of the culture.
  • Provide effective training and development programs to increase employee capabilities and growth.
  • Partner with leadership team members in executing initiatives and projects to achieve strategic business plan.
  • Lead local efforts on effective recruitment, hiring and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent application and communication of policy.
  • Actively participate in driving business results as a member of the site leadership team.
  • Typing of various memos, forms and letters as required.
  • Conduct and organize Benefit Meetings and employee functions.
  • Assist employees with questions.
  • Assist departments with personnel issues.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Log and process new applications.
  • Set up interviews for Managers and Supervisors.
  • Schedule drug screens.
  • Complete criminal background checks.
  • Assist with new hire orientation paperwork.
  • Set up and maintain employee files.
  • Distribute employee performance reviews.
  • Process employee increases.
  • Process employee transfers.
  • Process employee’s employment status changes such as vacations. Address changes, LOA’s, Jury Duty, and Funeral Leave.
  • Run Misc. reports for Managers/Supervisors as requested.
  • Enter new hire information in the system.
  • Process payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
  • Post electronic time data and review downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Contact various department supervisors for any missed times.
  • Process weekly transfers of payroll data for hourly and semi-monthly for salaried employees to the current banking system.
  • Process weekly federal and state tax deposits.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Function efficiently with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with those in contact on a day to day basis.
  • Meet minimum standards of safety per assigned department.
  • Provide research as required.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.




  • B.S. Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a degree or Certification in a related discipline plus work experience of 5+ years in HR.

  • Minimum five (5) years Human Resource Management

  • Use and knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Outlook (365)



  • Ability to achieve AEV Production System Lean Manufacturing Certificate.
