Responsible for answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, handling incoming and outgoing mail and express envelopes, performing general office duties and furnishing clerical support for the office staff of the company.


  1. Greets visitors in a friendly and professional manner; determines their needs, notifies the person(s) being visited; responsible for reception area at all times.  Coordinates substitutes with Human Resources during absences.
  2. Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously; screens calls, transfers caller to correct individual; does not leave a caller on hold or unattended for more than 40 seconds; takes complete and accurate messages when person called is unavailable and distributes messages in a timely manner.
  3. Places the phone system on "night ring" mode.  Checks for message that require follow-up in the morning and delivers accordingly.
  4. Receives and sorts incoming mail, express envelopes and courier deliveries; distributes mail to employee mailboxes; delivers express envelopes and courier deliveries directly to recipient.
  5. Straightens and maintains orderly appearance of reception area; waters.
  6. Assists the HR department with clerical responsiblites as required. Performs routine clerical functions as requested.


Reports directly to Human Resources Manager.  Assists and works in conjunction with respective departments and Administration to facilitate smooth office operations.


A high school diploma is required.  Good communications skills and the ability to work well with people is essential.
