SCOPE: Direct a full range of items and services, including those of critical importance within the materials, externally sourced parts departments, purchasing groups and production planning. Direct the materials and purchasing groups to ensure the manufacture of products, parts, or components within established timing and quality standards. This position has great emphasis on highly skilled operations, quality assurance, and troubleshooting in scheduling that requires highly skilled processes, complex assembly, and testing. Determine organizational requirements, including hiring, performance evaluations, and staffing level recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Manage and execute proven tenants of success within the Supply Chain organization.
- Work with Enterprise commodity team to meet annual net sourcing targets.
- Manage personnel engaged in inventory, materials, purchasing, and production planning processes, including parts supplied to production for the manufacture of vehicles. The scope is solely externally sourced parts.
- Improve upon Supply Chain management best practices in areas such as system optimization, metrics, inventory control and demand planning.
- Lead Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) strategic meetings with senior leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and quality procedures.
- Must take a dedicated approach in both strategic action development, while being able to problem-solve using established system tools.
- Must direct workflow to ensure timely and efficient execution of the production schedule.
- Must be able to handle a variety of customers, which can include interaction with other departments, managers, Customers, vendors, finance etc.
- Assumes leadership and expertise of lean principles. Accountable for the implementation and sustainment of lean within areas of responsibility. Must be change agent and ambassador for continuous improvement. Must be able to teach/train employees at all levels on the concepts of lean. Must proactively lead the engagement of all personnel in the implementation of the principles and tools of lean.
- Must take a pro-active role in safety, environmental, ISO, and lean manufacturing/continuous improvement programs and policy enforcement.
- Accountability for ensuring all quality, regulatory and ISO requirements are met. Responsible to make sure appropriate actions are taken to meet all requirements, including stopping production if appropriate.
- Responsible for development, compliance and enforcement of all company policies and procedures. Ensures consistent and effective employee relations. Recommends rewards/recognition as appropriate. Initiates necessary disciplinary actions as required.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
- SAFETY: Follow E-ONE General Health & Safety Rules, ensure safe operating conditions within area of responsibility, and notify coworkers and supervisors of hazardous acts and conditions. Proper use of PPE; use only defect-free equipment. Promote safety in department. Use proper lifting techniques and overhead hoist when needed. Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with 5-S Philosophy. Participate in hazardous communication training and safety meetings.
- QUALITY: Responsible for the quality of work. This requires defect-free work and understanding of the requirements of the company’s quality system as it pertains to job duties and responsibilities. Must be able to check work to ensure conformance to process control instructions, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and segregate non-conforming product. Identify the need for and assist in initiating and implementing corrective and preventive actions when appropriate. Follow the 3 Don’ts: 1) Don’t accept poor quality; 2) Don’t make poor quality; 3) Don’t pass poor quality.
- FLEXIBILITY: Able and willing to work in other areas as needed. Must be flexible in taking lunch and breaks when workflow requires. Willing to work additional hours as necessary.
- INITIATIVE: Actively participate in continuous improvement of products and processes to better serve customers and improve the overall profitability of E-ONE. Actively seek out work in other areas when current assignment is complete. Make suggestions for improving product quality, processes, safety, and company profitability. Submit these implemented improvements utilizing our Minor Kaizen process.
- TEAMWORK: Positive working attitude toward other employees; be a team player. Work with others constructively and abide by company policies and procedures. Working together as a team for continuous improvement is vital to ensure the future of E-ONE and its employees. Teamwork will be required to be effective in daily production assignments as well as special improvement projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Demonstrated abilities in communication, negotiation, and project implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, Supply Chain management or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain management
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and engage employees. Ability to manage a diverse team.
- Proven leadership capabilities. Ability to work independently. Actively develops a high performance team with skills needed to meet company goals and objectives.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with understanding and application of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Require superior communication skills (written, oral, presentation, and instructional) and ability to effectively interact with customers, dealers, suppliers, team leaders, managers, associates, and executives.
- Proven success in team building, conflict resolution, and problem solving from identification through root cause resolution.
- Good business acumen and financial knowledge, including budgeting, P&L, forecasting etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift/Push/Pull- Exerting up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Climbing- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
- Stooping- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
- Kneeling- Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
- Crouching/Crawling/Reaching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing- Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performing mechanical tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
