The REV Group Operations Excellence (OpEx) Manager – Fire Division Black Belt will identify, prioritize, and execute critical operational excellence process improvements focused on hard savings and improved performance across quality, delivery, cost out, and overall leadership & teamwork at all Fire REV Group Business Units. The OpEx Manager – Black Belt role will be focused on leading continuous improvement projects that support the business goals of the REV Group through their Strategy & Goal Deployment Plan (GDP) and Annual Operation Plan objectives. The improvement projects will be focused on specific/cross-functional areas involving cross-functional departments such as Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, etc. The intent will be to improve outcomes of the entire REV Group’s value stream processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work with the Fire VP of Operations, BU Manager’s of Ops Excellence, VP/GM’s, plus the Division President and Senior Staff to develop and deploy our REV Operations Excellence program (a pilar of our REV Business System), and help provide visibility of the program across the entire division and segment.
- Support the development and execution of the REV Groups Strategic Business Plan and Goal Deployment Process.
- Leads complex, high-priority improvement projects, as directed by the VP Operations, Division President & Staff, to provide the right level of leadership on critical projects and initiatives.
- Offers a clear sense of direction, motivating and empowering the BU REV OpEx Manager, VP/GM, and REV OpEx Leaders to carry out their responsibilities with confidence.
- Builds teamwork through engagement. Aligns the BU REV OpEx Managers by sharing information, tying their work and goals to REV’s vision and values.
- Provides on-going coaching and support to the BU REV OpEx Managers in learning and using the REV’s Operations Excellence methodology in their projects and activities.
- Conducts onsite training and coaching with each BU REV OpEx Manager to confirm project progress and ensure BU REV OpEx Managers development.
- Serves as the technical expert and instructor, on the use and training of Lean Six Sigma tools. Design, create, and deliver OpEx training to the REV OpEx Leaders, and, as needed, throughout the organization.
- Acts as a coach and on-going teacher to the all required staff, on all aspects of OpEx across the company.
- Develops tools and models that will enable REV Group to learn and continuously improve knowledge, engagement, and use of LSS in daily activities.
- Drive a sustainable cultural change across the whole REV Group.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree minimum, Masters degree preferred. Degrees related to engineering, technical, business, economics, and finance fields are most appropriate.
- 3 years of working in an Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement capacity.
- Experience with heavy industrial machinery, automotive, or marine manufacturing industries is a plus
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and or Lean Sensei Certification and a minimum of three years of Black Belt Lean Sensei experience required.
- Extensive knowledge and expert use in Lean Six Sigma, Change, and Business Management tools and methodologies.
- Skilled and experienced in managing change programs.
- Extensive experience in training and coaching; able to impart knowledge to others.
Work Environment/Conditions:
- Office working environment, with travel to production facilities.
