Primary Functions:


This position is responsible for warranty activity.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Meet minimum standards of housekeeping and 5-S per assigned department.
  • Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.
  • Increase parts sales through positive suggestive selling techniques.
  • Input of all warranty registration cards into the Mapics system.
  • Input of all Carrier a/c warranty registration cards at Carrier’s web site. Keep copy of registration with unit file.
  • Process all warranty claims for CBC. Work with distributors to insure the warranty claim is within CBC warranty policy and procedures.
  • Answer questions related to repair and troubleshooting to assist customers with repair. Send schematics when necessary.
  • In field service calls (when required).
  • Pre delivery and post delivery problem solving and warranty repair administration.
  • Coordinate with distributors to insure fair repair/replacement value and grant authorization numbers when applicable. Log all authorization numbers for reference purposes.
  • Track recurrent warranty claims and correspond to production/engineering in a weekly warranty meeting. File NCR forms when applicable to comply with ISO requirements.
  • Write orders for repair parts to be submitted to the plant for shipment.
  • Initiate recall letters when applicable and communicate with NHTSA to complete all recall requirements.
  • Report quarterly to NHTSA on recall status/progress.
  • Report quarterly to NHTSA for the Tread Act Report.
  • Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.



  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short             correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Two (2) years experience in equipment parts sales preferred.
  • Effective written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer literate:  Microsoft Office, Mapics
  • High School graduate with some college.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
