REV Orlando is seeking a Production Supervisor.  This position will report to our Value Stream Manager and will be responsible for directing production workers in the making or assembling of manufactured product; to ensure production process is carried out according to the production schedule and ensures equipment and supplies needed are available.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company core values are being met: Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery
  • Responsible for coordinating manpower efforts and material flow through production to ensure that trucks are completed, inspected, and tested in accordance with the production schedule requirements. 
  • Schedule labor effectively to maximize productivity and plan parts needed for production needs
  • Accomplish material and labor production goals and ensures quality assurance process is being followed
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping within your department
  • Train new and transferred employees
  • Coach, mentor, and discipline employees as necessary.
  • Complete 90 day and annual reviews for all employees in the department
  • Daily roll-call:  check each department attendance and resolve issues
  • Daily production schedules:  review schedules with leads
  • Daily progress verification:  check production for daily goals
  • Daily shortage reports:  verify with leads; fill out and deliver to Purchasing Department
  • Daily evaluation/audit:  busses for quality and built to print; check for correction and change orders
  • Daily interface with Engineering Department; changes, proto types, verification of new material requirements, introduction of new process from engineering to production; review ECN’s and implement
  • Daily and monthly Safety Meeting and Evaluation of area for safety

 

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

  • 4-year college degree industrial management preferred or combination of experience/education
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees
  • Proper understanding and knowledge of production goods and products
  • Ability to work independently and for multiple individuals
  • Must be able to prioritize and exercise independent judgment
  • Strong understanding of principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation
  • Proficient computer office software (word/excel), when applicable. 
  • Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Be trained in Hazardous Materials Handling Operations and Hazardous Waste training with an annual refresher course.
