The SVP Engineering & Technology will lead REV Group’s full lifecycle of product – from vision and strategy to delivery and rollout/implementation – translating business plans and objectives into clear, innovative, and strategic actions.


The successful candidate will leverage a deep understanding of the customer, financial, and technology levers that drive success to develop enterprise product and implementation strategies. Critical to the role will be the ability to successfully partner cross-functionally with business leaders, product and engineering leaders, and other stakeholders to champion the strategy, design, development, launch, and management of products that delight clients and team members, while also meeting strategic business, product, and technology objectives.


The SVP Engineering & Technology will report to Brian Perry, President Commercial Segment & SVP Operations and will be a member of the CEO Executive Committee staff.  Our successful candidate will lead strategy execution in the following areas:


Engineering Strategy

  • Product Platforming
  • New Product Development (Enterprise Innovation)
  • Technology Roadmap: EV, Data & Analytics/IOT, Technology Partners
  • Product Sustainability Strategy

Enterprise Process & Policy

  • Chairperson of REV Enterprise Engineering Council
  • Product Lifecyle Management
  • Bill of Materials (Accuracy), Example: Clear to build
  • New Product Development
  • Design for Manufacturability
  • Design for Quality
  • Support of Product Compliance, Safety & Certification
  • Support of government agency interaction

Operations & Execution

  • VA/VE Center of Expertise (COE); tools, process, REV operating model
  • VA/VE Execution, BU & Division support
  • VA/VE offshore scoping, resourcing
  • Engineering Productivity
  • Engineering capacity management


Qualifications & Experience

Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring and strategic leader for the enterprise with experience in designing a change roadmap and driving its execution. A successful candidate will be an innovative engineering executive who will pursue aggressive action in Engineering Strategy, Enterprise Process & Policy and VA/VE operations. In addition, he/she will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Business Management
  • 10 plus years of previous engineering management
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Senior Management  role leading large-scale engineering and product organization.
  • Must have a proven track record of transforming strategy into an actionable plan that delivers measurable business results.
  • Experience integrating & building the next generation technologies / products through change management efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market insights into product experiences and market success.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in management information systems, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, budget control, sales & marketing, and legal issues related to product liability and intellectual property.
  • Experience supporting intellectual property development for strategic technology directions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate with people all at levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty vehicle experience preferred. 
  • M.S. or MBA preferred
