The Sr. Business Analyst - Commercial Applications plays a pivotal role in optimizing commercial tools that support Configuration, Pricing, Quoting (CPQ) and Sales Order Creation. This position enhances business performance by deeply understanding process workflows, updating modeling, configuring applications, and ensuring alignment across REV businesses.This position will work on multiple configurators, sales tools, and web applications. It requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen and cross-functional coordination to make the most of REV’s technology investments that help our businesses.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage CRM, Sales Tools, and Configuator Applications:

  1. CPQ Tool Strategy & Optimization – Manage the use, configuration, support, and enhancement of CPQ solutions and sales tools to align with business objectives and industry best practices. Learn applications in detail on setup, management, and support.
  2. Management and Support of CPQ and Sales Tools, which include the following:
    1. Product Configuration & Modeling – Work with business users and be hands on to create and update CPQ models that are accurate and scalable.
    2. Complex Rule-Based Engine Development – Build and maintain advanced rule engines for CPQ, CSP, and document generation, leveraging Microsoft .NET and SQL technologies.
    3. Product Structure & Hierarchy Management – Design configuration models that support product constraints, relationships, and business rules for accurate quoting.
    4. API Integration & Troubleshooting – Work closely with vendors and internal teams to support API integrations, perform system analysis, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.
  3. Implementation & Rollout Management – Lead small projects of CPQ and sales tool deployments, enhancements, upgrades with business users and stakeholders to ensure ensuring timely execution within scope and budget
  4. Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer – Develop comprehensive documentation, including system setup guides and operational procedures, to empower business users and IT teams. Work with Product Management, Engineering and Sales groups to translate business and product requirements into configurable commercial product models. Ensure that Product Configuration Models reflect the best practices
  5. Compliance & Security Best Practices – Maintain application integrity by adhering to coding standards, security protocols, and best practices for efficient system performance.
  6. Training & Support – Train IT team members and business users on CPQ configuration, enabling self-sufficiency while providing expert-level support for complex cases.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement and lead the solution design for automating the configuration of specialty vehicles by developing configuration models and rules, product extensions, initial design of interfaces, etc.
  • Technical skills including web application development, integrating to web services and database knowledge
  • Technical skills that involve development of a BOM (bill of materials application development) with acute attention to detail.
  • Programming skills to update workflows, complete modeling and pull data out of system: .NET technologies,  SQL, Visual Basic, HTML
  • Comfortable travelling to business sites and working with teams to complete implementations.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • General knowledge of network, PC operations system, network hardware, protocol, and standards

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5 – 10 years in complex business and technical environment.
  • Engineering Degree or comparable Business or Computer Science Degree (4 years) a plus.
  • Experience with CPQ tools, Salesforce CRM, and ERP Software packages
  • Experience with software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in Specialty Vehicles (ambulance, fire, bus) domain is a plus.

 

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
