Since 1982, Goldshield has set the bar in the fiberglass industry. Our facility is located in Decatur, Indiana, where we manufacture fiberglass parts for Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler. Goldshield also manufactures fiberglass for school buses, emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.

Finisher – the process of sanding and buffing to restore part to original shape or design to meet customer’s quality standards

  1. Finisher must meet the following criteria: 
    1. Completion of appropriate training certification
    2. Have a consistent and proven attendance record
    3. Must be capable of finishing at any work station with less than three returns per day
    4. Know Class A, C finish requirements
    5. Meet customer requirements on all parts
    6. Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times
    7. Any violation of the above mentioned  guidelines will result in the loss of operators status (Job Level)
  2. Finisher must be capable of meeting the physical demands/abilities as described in the worksteps program
  3. Finisher must be capable of meeting the following environmental conditions/hazards:
    1. Exposure to constant noise level above 80 dB
    2. Constant exposure to dust on skin
    3. Exposure of skin to resin, acetone and catalyst
    4. Use of vibratory equipment
  4. Responsibility and authority to verify work affecting quality of the end product
