Since 1982, Goldshield has set the bar in the fiberglass industry. Our facility is located in Decatur, Indiana, where we manufacture fiberglass parts for Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler. Goldshield also manufactures fiberglass for school buses, emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.

Geller - The process of spraying gelcoat on a mold with a tool called a gel spray gun

  1. A geller must meet the following criteria:
    1. Completion of appropriate training certification
    2. Have a consistent and proven attendance record
    3. Be able to gel all molds with quality
    4. Maintain a clean and safe work area according to 5s goals
    5. Maintain gel gun in proper working condition at all times
    6. Practice a favorable environment with fellow employees
    7. Any violation of the above mentioned guidelines will result in the loss of operators status (Job Level)
    8. Must be able to wear a respirator, store it correctly, and perform fit testing    
  2. A geller must be capable of meeting physical demands/abilities as described in the worksteps program
  3. A geller must meet the following environmental demands/hazards:
    1. Occasional extreme heat up to 110 degrees
    2. Constant exposure to gel coat
    3. Constant exposure of 50 ppm or less styrene vapor
    4. Exposure of skin to gun
