Primary function of the job is cut, glue, lay, and grout both vinyl and ceramic tile while also performing other necessary tasks in the assembly of the coach in a timely manner. They must know the standard work instructions for the tile laying process. They must maintain an organized work area and follow instructions.

Tile Layer 1 Primary Responsibilities

  • 1+ months of tile laying support experience with REV or demonstrated ability
  • Use a variety of tools for a sustained period of time.
  • Interpret and understand drawings, Standard work instructions, Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions.
  • Be proficient at installing vinyl tile, grouting and/or gluing.
  • Help with heat mat installation and help with repairs without causing damage.
  • Install the heat mat “cry baby”.
  • Work with other team members to complete coaches within the allotted time frame.
  • Meet all tiling safety and quality requirements
  • Identify defective items and dispose of according to company processes
  • Reason and solve problems as they arise.
  • Follow other duties as assigned

 

Tile Layer 2, Additional Responsibilities

  • 6+ months of tile laying experience or demonstrated ability.
  • Be proficient at cutting and installing ceramic tile.
  • Lay tile accurately without repairs.
  • Lay out tile pattern on the coach floor per the model design.
  • Take the lead on laying heat mat including able to check mat quality with Ohm meter.
  • Perform tile and heat map repairs without causing damage.
  •  Good attitude and willingness to work where needed. (no discipline for attitude related issues over the past year)
  • Good attendance, demonstrated by maintaining less than 5 points for at least 3 months.

 

Qualifications

  • Read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate in English
  • Capable of reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing or kneeling
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Have good attention for detail and good hand-eye coordination
