Job Overview

Performs welding and other tasks necessary to assemble the coach on the assembly line in a timely manner. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Following of all safety precautions and regulations for welding
Proficient with use of welding equipment and techniques
Must be able to interpret and understand drawings, Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions
Working knowledge of fixtures, weld set up parameters, and fill materials applications
Inspection of work to ensure quality
Promote and Maintain a safe work environment
Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications
Basic welding equipment maintenance knowledge
Problem solving
And other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED.
Read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate in English
Capable of reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
Attention to detail
Able to climb, twist, bend, stoop, stand, squat, grasp, and work over head
Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Good hand eye coordination
