Position Summary

The Assembler I in Zone 18 plays an important role in the completion of high-quality luxury van conversions. This position focuses on installing cabinet sets, wainscoting, jackknife sofas, and related interior components. The Assembler I works as part of a team to ensure all installations meet Midwest Automotive Design’s standards for craftsmanship, safety, and quality.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Install cabinet sets, wainscoting, jackknife sofas, and related components according to build specifications and drawings.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to fit, secure, and finish assigned components.
  • Follow established work instructions, build sheets, and safety guidelines for Zone 18 processes.
  • Inspect completed components for quality, alignment, fit, and finish.
  • Assist with material setup, staging, and organization of work areas.
  • Collaborate with team members, Leads, and Supervisors to ensure timely workflow and production targets.
  • Perform basic adjustments, measurements, and trimming to ensure proper installation of interior components.

Quality & Safety

  • Follow REV Group’s policies and workplace safety procedures.
  • Ensure work meets all quality standards before moving units to the next stage.
  • Report defects, inconsistencies, or material issues to the Supervisor or Lead.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and pneumatic tools safely.
  • Ability to read and follow build sheets, instructions, and diagrams.
  • Good attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position components up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous assembly, carpentry, furniture installation, or manufacturing experience helpful but not required.
  • On-the-job training provided.

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to wood dust, adhesives, hand tools, and power tools.
