Position Summary
The HR Coordinator supports a wide range of human resources functions with a primary focus on hourly recruiting and onboarding. This role plays a key part in employee engagement activities, assists with payroll processing, and collaborates with EHS to support safety communication initiatives. The HR Coordinator ensures timely, accurate HR support while creating a positive experience for candidates and employees.


Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Staffing – (Primary Function)

  • Manage full-cycle hourly recruiting including job postings, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and maintain proactive pipelines
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and compliant new hire experience
  • Track recruiting progress and provide regular updates to HR and operations leadership

Payroll Support

  • Assist with weekly payroll review in ADP, including timecard corrections, missed punches, and basic audit steps
  • Partner with supervisors to validate hours and ensure accurate pay for hourly employees
  • Support benefits and payroll-related employee inquiries

Employee Engagement & HR Support

  • Assist in planning, promoting, and executing employee engagement programs and recognition events
  • Maintain HR communication boards and internal communication platforms
  • Provide general HR assistance including employee requests, attendance tracking, and data entry
  • Help maintain personnel files and ensure HR documentation compliance (I-9, E-Verify, audits, etc.)

Safety & EHS Communication

  • Partner with EHS to communicate safety initiatives, training reminders, and policy updates
  • Support safety campaigns and recognition efforts
  • Help track and follow up on safety-related documentation when needed

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of HR, recruiting, or related administrative experience preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of HR systems (ADP experience highly preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills is a plus
  • Ability to work confidentially with employee information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
