Position Summary

The Detailer I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting vehicle preparation and cleaning tasks essential to the quality and presentation of Midwest Automotive Design’s custom automotive products. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness, performing basic detailing functions, and assisting senior team members to ensure vehicles meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform basic interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, washing, drying, and applying simple cleaning solutions.
Assist in preparing vehicles for production, inspection, photography, or delivery.
Support senior detailers with routine tasks such as masking, taping, or staging materials.
Maintain cleanliness of the detailing work area, tools, and equipment.
Follow all company safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals according to training.
Report any defects, damage, or irregularities to the Detailing Supervisor.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support production workflow.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

Preferred

Prior experience in automotive cleaning or detailing (not required).
Familiarity with basic cleaning tools and products.
