Position Summary

The CNC Operator plays a key role in supporting the Mill Room by accurately cutting different types of wood to specified patterns and dimensions. This position ensures that high-quality materials are prepared for assembly, directly contributing to the craftsmanship and finish of Midwest Automotive Design luxury vans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling grinding, and milling.
Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges to ensure they match blueprints.
Maintain Accurate production logs and report any material discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety guidelines.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in CNC in a manufacturing environment.
Completion of a CNC program from a community college or technical school is preferred.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Basic math and measurement skills required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Work Environment

Manufacturing floor and Mill Room setting.
Exposure to CNC machines, dust, table saws, and cutting tools.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided by the company.
