Essential Job Functions: 1. Follow standard operating procedures as well as written and verbal orders and instructions in English. 2. Lift up to 75 lbs. and be in good physical condition. Standing, bending, climbing, crawling, and lying on hard surfaces as well as upper body and back strength required. 3. Follow all company policies and procedures as stated in the company policy and safety manual including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed shoes. 4. Able to work in a noisy environment. 5. Work overtime as needed, through break or noon lunch when needed. 6. Actively pursue cost reduction measures. 7. Perform all assigned tasks within specific time limits and company standards. 8. Must be able to read a tape measure. 9. Must comply with all safety regulations regarding the work area, the product and equipment. Recognize and report all safety discrepancies to your supervisor. 10. Able to develop a thorough knowledge of all aspects of this field including products, options, and uses. 11. Shows a willingness to work beyond assigned duties, is a team player, self-motivated, a motivator, and demonstrates good judgement in work habits. 12. Possess a positive work ethic, is detail oriented, and able to adapt to a wide range of duties, sometimes on short notice. 13. Ability to possess knowledge of assembly, plumbing, and electrical systems. 14. Able to learn to read and fully comprehend complex electrical schematic diagrams and possesses some knowledge of complete truck chassis electrical system including charging or starting and load management systems. Installation and troubleshooting of problem areas. 15. Can acquire a basic knowledge of electronic controls used on transmission and engines. 16. Some use and knowledge of clamp on ammeter, multimeters, dielectric test equipment and load back required. 17. Able to learn to read specs in a shop order and change orders, if needed. 18. Assist team members in maintaining good housekeeping practices in Final Inspection as well as maintaining sufficient stock of necessary materials, parts, and supplies in order to meet the production schedule. 19. Be knowledgeable of the status of jobs in progress by other members of the team. 20. Possess some experience from outside of the company or has plumbing, electrical, and assembly background. 21. Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees. 22. Willingness to share department and company knowledge as needed.

Daily Functions: 1. Mount equipment on trucks using hand tools. Requires wrist strength. 2. Wiring equipment. 3. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems. 4. Help design, manufacture, and assemble any necessary items to complete assigned tasks.

Potential Hazards: 1. Shock: electrical charge can occur if equipment is not used correctly. 2. Eye injuries: required to wear eye protection. 3. Cuts & burns: wiring terminals have heat shrink coating and require a torch to shrink fit. Residue becomes as hot as the torch. Sharp objects on trucks many cause cuts. 4. Trips, slips, & falls: ensure all air hoses and obstacles are kept clear of aisles. Use caution when climbing on and off trucks. Make sure all ladders and step stools are used correctly and for their designed purpose. 5. Repetitive motion: make sure hand tools are being used properly.
