Job Summary: Provides support for wholesales parts and the service department by ordering and pricing parts and keeping records of parts inventory among other duties. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Processes parts requests from service department, dealers and repair facilities.
  • Prices parts for estimating and direct purchase, determines availability of parts for service and customer orders.
  • Ensure delivery of parts in a timely manner. 
  • Works with stockroom and purchasing to acquire and transfer parts as needed, maintains parts inventory for service department and notifies management of inaccuracies or concerns.
  • Purchases parts from outside vendors, when necessary
  • Use an online parts system to process orders as well as being able to utilize all its functions to track orders, verify PO’s, produce invoices copies, etc.
  • Use an ERP system to create part numbers
  • Look up fabricated parts through spec and engineering logs to create orders in the system and get proper paperwork into the plant to have the parts produced
  • Greets vendors, clients and visitors and answers and redirects inquiries. Communicates timelines to vendors and Dealers

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

  • Ability to work in a courteous and professional manner with the vendors, dealer facilities and employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook. Phone systems, e-mail, and internet browsing skills required.
  • Experience with online parts system, like Lexel or GenAlph and experience with ERPs (like MAPICs) and Bill of Materials
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal or no supervision
  • Independent judgement to balance competing priorities and solid and dotted line reporting relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing and demanding environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/parts sales environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
