Performs a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.  The  Pre Delivery Detailer will clean vehicles according to company standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Exterior wash, interior cleaning, and tire cleaning and treatments. paint touchup and installing accessories of the vehicle.
  • Visually inspect every vehicle
  • Maintaining the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

 

  • High school, college education or training in vocational schools preferred
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and routers.

 

Physical Demands:

 

The duties may require that an employee wear a mask, fresh air breathing apparatus or other safety equipment as needed, when working with paint products emitting hazardous vapors.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.   • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#’s without assistance.
  • Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
  • Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.)
  • Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
