This position will be responsible for leadership, problem solving, and overall production goals for the Remount Paint team. 

                                   

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and assisting personnel in the completion of daily production tasks.
  • Responsible for communicating tasks, training and instruction to work cell personnel.
  • Meet minimum standards of safety per assigned department.
  • Must be familiar with all aspects and processes of the department assigned.
  • Ensuring that all the parts are ordered and put through the system as well as being the lead over the machine operators.
  • This department will have interdepartmental communication to ensure they are receiving the product in a timely manner

Education and experience:

  • 3 plus years of manufacturing experience in paint department or autobody paint environment.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for job.
  • Must be familiar with all aspects and processes of the department assigned.
  • Should be able to qualify for the highest-ranking job classification within the department assigned.
  • Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing paint equipment and processes.
  • Must be able to prioritize work, work independently, establish and maintain working relationships with other employees.
  • Must have good understanding of the parts flow throughout the building.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools. Must be familiar with the safe operation of various tools – drill, screw gun, sander, jig saw etc..
  • Must have basic PC Skills and be capable of accessing the required computer information to perform the required duties.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicates simple instructions, short             correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
  • Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • May be required to handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

 

The noise level in the work environment is elevated.

  • Safety glasses, or prescription safety glasses with side shields
  • Ear plugs
  • Close-toed shoes required on plant floor
