Results-driven Inventory Control Supervisor with extensive experience in manufacturing environments overseeing stockroom operations, materials management, and team leadership. Proven ability to maintain inventory accuracy, improve material flow, enforce safety standards, and lead cross-functional coordination between production, materials, quality, and engineering teams. Professional Experience

Inventory Control / Stockroom Supervisor

Manufacturing Environment

  • Supervise daily stockroom and inventory control operations, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely material availability to production.
  • Schedule and allocate labor to maximize efficiency in receiving, stocking, kitting, and material distribution activities.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with materials, production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve shortages, discrepancies, and part issues.
  • Ensure all material transactions are accurately processed in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, housekeeping (5S), OSHA, and environmental standards within the stockroom and plant areas.
  • Assign and coordinate onboarding and training for new and transferred employees.
  • Coach, mentor, and discipline employees as needed to maintain performance standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee development plans.
  • Review and approve employee timekeeping for payroll accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials, including hazardous items where applicable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, material flow, and warehouse best practices.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills related to inventory discrepancies, shortages, and process inefficiencies.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP systems for inventory tracking and reconciliation.
  • Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Effective communicator across all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards as they relate to warehouse and material handling operations.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, material lists, and technical specifications.

Education

Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.


Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical inventory activities.
  • Experience working in industrial/manufacturing environments with elevated noise levels and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Familiar with required PPE standards and safety protocols.
