JOB SUMMARY:
Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis units for all types of electronic and electromechanical products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis units for all types of electronic and electromechanical products.
- Responsible for mechanical assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, AC/DC drives, motors, and other devices, etc.
- Design and fabricate electrical boxes for installation of components.
- Drill, edge fill, fit and assemble a variety of detail parts, and assemblies, including cutting openings in bodies to accommodate wire and components, using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect for proper installations and integrity.
- Ability to use general and precision tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc
- Must read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, blueprints and schematics.
- Maintain necessary documentation and records.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Perform assembly operations on structural and mechanical sub/assemblies, equipment and accessories.
- Perform other work as assigned.
Required education, skills, and experience to be successful:
- Preferred 1-2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred high school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts with written and verbal instructions
- Ability to understand both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
- Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
- Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Successful completion of the drug and background screening

- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to work with arms above head
