<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">JOB SUMMARY:

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lays out reference points and assembles structures according to blueprints and engineering specifications, using hand tools and portable power tools. May prepare the chassis, body, pump house and tank prior to merging together.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Confers with liaison personnel to determine assembly priorities
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Reads blueprints and engineering specifications to plan assembly of structures
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Cuts and trims parts according to layout, using hand tools and portable power tools, such as grinders and plasma torches.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Fits and assembles component structural parts preparatory to final assembly using hand and power tools.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Installs various components onto structures using hand and power tools
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Reworks assembled structures according to engineering specification changes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Performs other work as assigned




<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">QUALIFICATIONS:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">HS Diploma or GED
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blue prints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read English and Metric tape measures and use measuring devices.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Attention to detail
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong work ethic; Be a team player
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must be able to climb, twist, bend and stoop.

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to work in 105-degree heat for excess of eight (8) hours per day.
