Job Overview 

Normally performs the work of the group and coordinates the activities of assigned workers engaged in the manufacturing process and the development of the final product. 

 

Responsibilities 

•Responsible for leading and directing the work effort of personnel 

•Trains new workers in operation of equipment or process 

•Inspects materials and products to maintain organization standards 

•Requisitions supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules and may maintain inventory records. 

•Confers with other leads or supervisors to coordinate activities between departments 

•May participate in the appraisal process of personnel 

•Performs other work as assigned 

•Review chassis spec to ensure proper build of unit 

•Review chassis for completeness and quality of work prior to chassis gate inspection 

•Review gate inspection lists and assign the appropriate personnel to make repairs 

•Maintain production records 
 

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment): 

•Must possess a HS Diploma, GED or equivalent 

•Must be able to read and understand English 

•Must be able to read tape measure 

•Attention to detail 

•Strong work ethic; Be a team player 

•Must be able to climb, twist, bend and stoop. 

•Must have use of hands and be able to work over-head. 

•Must be able to stand, squat, and grasp. 

•Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. 
 

Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. (“Ferrara”), a leading custom fire apparatus and rescue vehicle manufacturer that engineers and manufactures vehicles for municipal and industrial customers.
