FFA - Production Scheduler

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, supporting, and managing all scheduling functions as well as implementing a scheduling methodology in accordance with established procedures.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Plan and establish production schedules for manufacturing departments involving diversified piece parts, assemblies, or tooling to conform with master production schedules
  • Ensure proper allocation to work center, load, capacity, and efficient utilization of equipment
  • Monitor and track material inventories, production progress, and other factors that affect schedules
  • Modify and adapt production schedules and issues order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities
  • Work with appropriate departments/staff for schedule creation, progress updates, problem analysis, and corrective action recommendations
  • Prepare all required reports and correspondence
  • Maintain knowledge of plant capacity and develop solutions for efficient utilization
  • Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues
  • Work in close proximity with customer, as needed
  • Solve complex problems with minimal assistance
  • Other tasks as assigned
