Job Summary

The Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc Intern Program exposes engineering undergraduates to projects spanning a wide array of engineering disciplines critical to the apparatus industry. Each intern is expected to provide specialized engineering support.  Our interns work on the production floor and in the office environments to obtain experience at all levels that make up Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.
  • Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Support troubleshooting on the production floor.
  • Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
  • Prepare planning, engineering, reports, studies, and calculations.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Must be at least a Sophomore in Fall 2023
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • 2.8 GPA
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of team members
  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills

Work Environment/Conditions

  • General office environment with work on the plant floor as required.
