The Sales Supervisor will drive achievement of departmental benchmarks and metrics to ensure that best practices are implemented appropriately and consistently.  The supervisor will be responsible for coaching and mentoring customer service representatives to increase productivity and maintain customer satisfaction. The supervisor will assist the team on complex customer service issues. The supervisor ensures that we meet or exceed our commitments to our customers through the efficient management of the order through appropriate processes, the effective and pro-active communication of information, and the prompt resolution of customer issues.  The supervisor is a key position that ensures our customers and prospects have a favorable experience when interacting with our company. In addition to handling inbound communication, the supervisor will also be responsible for timely and correct communications on scheduling, expectations and AEV delivery needs through weekly and monthly status reports.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that we are maintaining workflow and standards are being met by: proper staff scheduling; monitoring of staff activity for quality and quantity standards.
  • Assists in staff development through training, counseling and establishment and monitoring of staff and individual goals.
  • Handle Workflow based on pre-set priorities with special attention to “production and customer needs”
  • Plan and run weekly team meetings, scheduling weekly and monthly work priorities, communicate needs affectively.
  • Must perform all duties and responsibilities of those who report to this position.
  • Handle customer inquiries with a high standard of service in a friendly manner
  • Be resourceful in gathering information necessary to resolve customer matters
  • Escalate calls as appropriate ensuring a soft transition if an inquiry is beyond scope of knowledge
  • Fosters a positive team atmosphere in all functions of Customer Support.
  • Maintain a “customer first” attitude at all times.
  • Provide feedback to the company regarding  failures or customer concerns.
  • Employees time sheets, yearly and bi-yearly employees reviews, as well as manage the day to day staffing needs communicating between production and sales.
  • Overnight travel to support trade shows, or customer/dealer visits may be required at times.

Requirements:

 

Education:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree is preferred.

 

Experience:

 

  • At least 5 years of experience in the field or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office
  • Background in customer service/sales highly preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or working with other technical products is a plus.
  • Experience working with an order management system is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Lift/Push/Pull- Exerting up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  2. Climbing- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  3. Stooping- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  4. Kneeling- Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  5. Crouching/Crawling/Reaching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.  Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  6. Standing- Particularly for sustained periods of time.
  7. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
