This management role involves extensive communication with dealers and customers, as well as overseeing a team of sales support staff, including configuration analysts. The position entails creating work instructions to meet production needs and assisting in the development of profitable new business for the company.

 

Basic daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow new business and acquire new customers.
  • Manage internal sales processes to ensure business and customer requirements are met, including change order processes, inbound order processes, order status communication, and more.
  • Manage all required communication and reports for sales accounts and fleet customers, ensuring communication to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Oversee delivery communication requirements, including issuing weekly sales bulletins.
  • Manage and oversee the salesforce and forecasting, partnering with operations to meet customer due dates.
  • Approve pricing content, including change order pricing for all orders.
  • Construct weekly schedules to support production and planning for scheduled units.
  • Manage Sales support team daily activities.
  • Maintain the CPQ configurator to ensure an accurate database of customers in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and manage professional relationships with the AEV Dealer Network.
  • Maintain status reports for dealer yearly goals/quotas.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly management meetings as required.
  • Conduct manufacturer tours and manage onsite delivery inspections to ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance, identify staff development and training needs, and provide coaching and development or ensure training is obtained.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance within the department, holding employees accountable to all OSHA and company policies and regulations.
  • Actively engage in safety improvement activities.
  • Perform or assist with any operations necessary to maintain workflow or meet production demands.

 

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Business Administration is preferred.
  • (5) years’ experience in office management environment.
  • Experience in Windows Office environment.
  • Computer skills that include Microsoft Office, Outlook, CPQ configurator, SalesForce.
  • Experience in database / CRM use and management.
  • Must understand accounting principles with understanding of profit and loss.
  • Must be independent and responsible; able to be productive in an unsupervised environment.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have a helpful, cheerful attitude; required due to the high volume of customer/dealer interactions in person or on the phone.
  • Must enjoy talking to customers/dealers with enthusiasm.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to travel within territory and out of state when necessary.
  • Occasional travel to trade shows or corporate events may be required.
  • The ideal candidate should be adept at resolving customer issues, possess outstanding communication skills, and have experience in a fast paced sales setting.

 

Physical Requirements: Job duties  Employees must also be able to stand, walk, and sit. Occasionally, the job requires climbing, balancing, and stooping, as well as kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

A performance review will be conducted with any new hire at 30, 60 and 90 days to determine the organizational fit between the employee and AEV and review expectations of both the employee and employer. Candidate must pass a criminal background check and undergo a drug screening.
