This position assists or leads projects that may include improvements to production, material and warehouse layout.  

 

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead assigned projects
  • Implement, develop, and document new processes and procedures
  • Coordinate flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.
  • Interface with procurement and production groups to assist with availability of material and flow of material to meet production requirements
  • Create, manage and implement a plan for every part
  • Improve and assist with the design of material footprint and warehouse layout on the production floor
  • Create standard work and conduct manufacture time studies
  • Gather production date to assist in the evaluation of new processes, material, or equipment
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Other duties outside of normal responsibility based upon business need

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma a must.
  • Currently pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor Degree.
  • Engineering (Industrial / Manufacturing emphasis) major preferred.
  • Second or third year student preferred.
  • Must be able to commit to 20 hours a week.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office (Including Word & Excel).
