Supervises the Finance function in Ocala. This includes operational responsibility for General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax reporting, Payroll, Fixed Assets, external audit of E-ONE Ocala and the associated Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.  Assigns and audits the work of accounting managers, supervisors, accountants and clerks engaged in various accounting procedures. Directs the timely preparation of accounting records, reports and various related analyses.  Exercises normal managerial functions.

 

KNOWLEDGE  / EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree in Accounting  and at least 10-years of managerial experience. Documented on-going training in general accounting principles, finance, payroll and tax required. Accounting certification (i.e., CPA) preferred. Good PC and ERP skills.

 

EXPERIENCE

Requires 10 years practical experience of Accounting in a manufacturing environment. General accounting and Cost Management knowledge, experience in implementation of Lean principles, ERP systems support and programming preferred along with International Finance experience. Requires demonstrated abilities in people management communication, negotiation and project implementation. Proven success in team building with strong written and oral communication skills.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assigns and outlines work: advises on technical problems; reviews work for technical accuracy and adequacy. Will take action concerning selection, training, rating and discipline of staff. Work is assigned in terms of objectives, relative priorities and critical areas that impinge on workflow. Must be able to prioritize duties and complete tasks according to established schedules so as not to compromise completion dates. Manage the efforts of the Product Costing, General Ledger team, Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Payroll and financial systems, making sure that deliverables are timely and accurate. Train and develop the managerial and analytical skills of the Finance Department. Identify, analyze, report and recommend action plans to improve product cost, or develop new ways to track operational costs. Cost development for new products, parts and processes, vehicle margin and cost analysis, manufacturing overhead analysis (both fixed and variable), and development work as financial consultant on cross-functional teams. Manage the delivery of monthly financial statements and reports, plus Month-End closing, fixed asset accounting, LCM, Warranty, and other reserve analysis. Manage inter-company transactions, bank reconciliations, benefits accruals, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Ensure timely delivery of the majority of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations for out of state subsidiaries. Manage the delivery of budgets and forecasts for manufacturing plant expenses and SG&A expenses totaling over $200mm annually. Must be able to prioritize duties and complete tasks according to established schedules so as not to compromise completion dates. Interact with all internal departments to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Engage in confidential and critical accounting issues. Participate in various Internal and External audit proceedings. Produce various analyses relating to department performance. Review department procedures and implement methods for improvement.
