Job summary:                      Facilitate the parts sales and service of company products within assigned accounts working with or without Dealer organizations to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction and increased share of market.  Position requires 60%+ travel

 

Responsibilities:

  •   Develop sales organizational strategies by contributing sales information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establish sales objectives in line with organizational objectives. 
  •   Establish sales operational strategies by evaluating sales trends; establish critical measurements; determine production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; design sales systems; accumulate resources; resolves problems; implements a change. 
  •   Develop sales financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating sales requirements, trends and variances; align monetary resources; develop actions plans; measure and analyzing results. 
  •   Assume special assignments and projects as assigned by the National Sales Director.
  •   Assist in planning regional/state shows, customer visits, product advertising, and sales forecasting.
  •   Provide customers technical assistance by reviewing specifications and, when necessary, preparing bids and quotations. Facilitate visits of customers to the factory.
  •   Prepare and submit business reports as directed.  Establish and maintain competitor/supplier information files.  Track sales volumes, leads and prospects. Maintain on-going relationship-building tasks.
  • In assigned territories, review incoming orders for completeness and conformance to established company requirements. Participate in order review meetings
  •   Review special pricing requests for non-standard items. 
  • Coordinate communications concerning orders among the dealer, customer, sales, marketing, engineering, production, purchasing, and finance personnel. Provide monthly forecasts for unit shipments.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience in field sales

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires an intelligent, analytical and highly motivated global marketing and sales professional who is flexible and can interface effectively at the highest corporate level yet have the ability to adapt to a small company environment.  This position also requires a high degree of integrity and a proven record of relating with and managing people to maximize human resources.  Must be a participative, team-oriented person able to interact well with people at all organizational levels. This individual should be a strong communicator with good public speaking abilities and be able to sell ideas in both an oral and written manner.  Because of the nature of the product, must have mechanical aptitude and orientation and be able to communicate on a technical level. Strong analytical, written and oral communication and organizational skills are required.

Make suggestions for improving product quality, processes, safety, and company profitability.  Submit these implemented improvements utilizing our Minor Kaizen process.
