FOR THE RIGHT PERSON THIS REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE COULD BE LOCATED ANYWHERE IN THE EASTERN UNITED STATES:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for sales growth, market expansion, and go to market strategies for American Emergency Vehicles customers and the dealer network. This position cultivates and grows dealer relationships both in the field and with end users. They will help identify, develop, and implement a sales strategy within the assigned territory that will create new sales opportunities. The Sales Representative leads the business plan for designated accounts and is responsible for coordinating internal functional areas to deliver a unified face to the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong, collaborative partnerships with dealers in the designated area to jointly drive account growth and voice of the customer.
- Actively support, coach, and enable dealers in developing strategies, bid proposals, and presentations that increase vehicle sales.
- Work with dealers to develop market intelligence—understanding local buying cycles, funding sources, and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate with dealers to generate new vehicle sales as territory and economic conditions allow.
- Actively develop and report on sales pipeline, market conditions, and identify dealer‑driven opportunities and shortfalls.
- Work closely with internal engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure product offerings align with commercial needs
- Be a liaison between the factory and dealer network with clear communication to all stakeholders.
- Execute sales and territory strategies in partnership with dealers, aligned with the direction of the Director of Sales.
- Ensure dealer sales volume and company margin objectives are met through joint planning, accountability, and pipeline development.
- Assist in developing new features, benefits, and models.
- Works with the Marketing Department to develop initiatives, product/component offerings that drive sales efforts.
- Travel and assist in coordinating trade show participation and dealer conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
- B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or 3 years of experience in sales.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience developing and executing sales/marketing programs based upon developed market intelligence, preferably in custom vehicle manufacturing.
- Proven background of meeting business plan sales volume and margin objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and achieve results through independent dealer partners.
- Excellent communication, time management, teamwork and negation skills
- Travel approximately 30%

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is $50,000 or between $50,000 - $85,000 and in New York is 50,000 – 85,000. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
