The Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance of all company equipment, buildings, and property, as well as supporting new construction, and building alterations.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect company equipment, buildings, and property
  • Provide a sense of urgency to production disruptions
  • Oversee maintenance of offices, production areas, public areas, equipment, refrigeration units, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, electric systems, etcetera
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance program
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications
  • Plan the utilization of space and facilities, inspecting buildings and office areas to evaluate suitability for occupancy
  • Conduct pre-planning and coordination activities for facilities project, additions, and/or change such as obtaining cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction, etcetera
  • Work with staff/managers regarding maintenance/facilities needs; ensure timely response to requests
  • Review and/or develop renovation and new construction plans; coordinate communication with and work of outside contractors
  • Ensure all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected
  • Working in conjuction with EH&S, confirm all property is in compliance with safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supervise workers engaged in moving equipment, preparing facilities for occupancy by working with outside vendors, maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and property.
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of city and state building codes and all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor department budget and manage expenses within approved budget constraints
  • Prepare all required reports and correspondence
  • Solve complex problems with minimal assistance
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues
  • Supervise associates engaged in maintenance activities as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five years related experience with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
  • Innovative team player
  • Intermediate computer skills are required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult, decisions
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
