Position Description:        

The accounting manager position is responsible for supervising general staff and junior accounting personnel, while also performing different kinds of accounting functions simultaneously.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Monitors and maintains internal controls for accounting transactions and financial reporting.
  • Prepares annual business plan, financial forecasts, and monthly reporting.
  • Prepares business KPI metrics and specific reporting to senior management
  • Train and supervise other accounting staff.
  • Supervises and prepares documentation for interim and annual Financial and SOX audits.
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Reviews  monthly sales and use tax and payroll tax returns.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements
  • Guide accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Review payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
  • Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. 
  • Previous leadership experience in accounting
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • Previously worked in company subject to SEC compliance and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP applications.
  • Made 2 Manage experience and Financials Consolidation Software a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strict confidentiality is essential


Working Conditions:

The Accounting Supervisor generally works in an office environment, but is expected to be familiar with overall business operations



Accounting clerical and junior accounting personnel.  Functions as team leader in the absence of the Manager of Financial Accounting.
