Production Supervisor - 1st shift
In this role, you will drive operational execution of daily production for your assigned areas, with a focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous improvement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Plans, organizes, and directs daily assembly activities to meet or exceed established goals in a cost-effective manner.
Ensure quality goals and objectives are met on a daily basis
Performs workflow analysis and develops improved methods for the assembly team.
Coordinates with managers and supervisors to establish assembly and quality control standards.
Coordinates with other departments to resolve all assembly related customer issues.
Develops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the assembly team’s activities.
Implements and maintains DOT/OSHA and company programs and standards.
Supports safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
Coordinates to address organizational needs such as additional equipment and maintenance.
Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to employees.
Cultivates a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.
Ensures that all assembly supplies are always on hand and available.
Prepares all required reports and correspondence, as necessary.
Manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
Two to four years related experience showing proven leadership and business skills
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities to include projects and daily assembly workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Ability to understand any and all safety requirements
