Responsibilities:

 

Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawing utilizing a variety of different tools and equipment

 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Installation and fabrication of cabinet components and hardware
  • Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels
  • Laminate cabinets and panels as needed
  • Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
  • Function with minimal amount of supervision 
  • Close attention to detail
  • Meet standards of safety and 5S 
  • Promote use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture •          Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company handbook
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

 

 

Qualifications/Training:

 

  • Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English  •   Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devises 
  • Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
  • Ability to use basic mathematics 
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40#’s

  • Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools and machinery

  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

Work Environment:

 

While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.  Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particle and vibration.  Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
