Primary Functions:


Responsible for processing and collecting all sales invoices within company policy; to process A/R checks; facilitate timely processing in A/R and Payroll duties as required.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Invoice all sales
  • Collect all outstanding invoices.
  • Review credit history for action.
  • Process all A/R checks.
  • Contact customers to resolve invoice problems.
  • Maintain customer database on AS400.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in the preparation and posting of month end JE’s for payroll, freight of units, and prepaid expenses.
  • Maintain files
  • Post hours for employees daily.
  • Maintain accounting fields in VIS (date invoiced, invoice number, and revenue date.
  • Maintain potential revenue file (follow units from completion, to invoiced, to paid, to released).
  • Do collect and hold letters (work with dealers to verify paid units still at plant and encourage them to pick them up).
  • Work with chassis dealer, sales dept, and chassis coordinator to reconcile bid assistance and mobility for dealers.
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Reconcile checks cleared daily
  • Reconcile freight billed on unit invoices to freight paid to driveway company
  • Prepare monthly warranty report.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Function efficiently with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis.
  • Meet minimum standards of safety per assigned department.
  • Meet minimum standards of housekeeping per assigned department.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.




  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a Senior Accountant.
  • Must be computer literate and have some working knowledge of a general APICS or MAPICS system
  • Must be able to effectively use Lotus and/or Microsoft Office including Excel/Access/Word
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Hand-eye coordination.

Usually, the employee will perform the majority of this job in an office environment.  However, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.


The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.




  • Three (3) years automated P/R and A/R experience.
  • Mainframe (A/R) experience.
  • Ten-key by touch
  • Prior AS400/MAPICS experience preferred




  • Two (2) to four (4) years of college with account emphasis.


Personal Protective Equipment Recommended and/or Required:


  • Safety glasses if walking in plant vicinity.
  • Earplugs if walking in plant vicinity.
