Develop, maintain and implement quality control systems and procedures to help achieve internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and maintain shop floor documentation both electronically and hard copy
  • Maintain System with respect to documentation numbering, implementing, updating and distribution.
  • Responsible for maintaining all QMS and EMS documentation except the drawings, controlling their status, and distributing it to all locations where used.
  • Responsible for ensuring that documents are available where needed and are approved and controlled per a procedure.
  • Responsible for ensuring that this procedure is accurate, understood, and effectively implemented
  • Maintain and update the ISO 9000 Folder on the server that is used to control the Quality Manual (level one) and Procedures (level two) documents.  It will also be used to control work instructions (level three), forms and any other documents where a centralized control is desired
  • Ensure that the document meets the requirements of the QMS, the EMS, the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14000 standards.
  • Support Lean Activities for Documentation issues.
  • Responsible for issuing and updating all documents with the exception of drawings, as they are revised. Engineering is responsible for drawing control.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions in English
  • Close attention to detail
  • Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day to day basis.
  • Meet minimum standards of safety per assigned department.
  • Meet minimum standards of housekeeping per assigned department.
  • Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Collect and analyze quality data obtained for Quality Metrics (i.e. gigs, DMR’s, LPA …)
  • Perform follow up audits to corrective actions and preventive actions when required

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to use Microsoft office, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Understand Standard Work.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short             correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • Ability to read English and Metric tape measures and use measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a QC Coordinator. 

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft office (specifically word, excel and Power Point)
  • Minimum 1-year Wheeled Coach Process Flow Knowledge
  • ISO 9001 (required)
  • Certified Internal ISO9001:2008 auditor (preferred)

  • Hand-Eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Closed Toe Shoes on production floor.

 

Overtime may be required based on business needs. This position may require mandatory overtime up to three (3) out of four (4) Fridays per month.
