Job summary: Create a commercially practical, technically sufficient and economically sound design for an assigned

product or unit based on predetermined electrical and mechanical characteristics. Responsible for performance

requirements, load analysis, and determining the nature and working relationship of the various elements of design.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the arrangement of electrical and mechanical details, and preparing initial design layouts.

• Follow up and assist in the preparation of final layout and working drawings.

• Perform load analysis of electrical system to ensure vehicle is within requirements.

• Ability to learn to use multiplex application software tools for troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of OEM chassis electrical interface to integrate into design.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of equivalent experience.

• Experience with problem solving techniques (5 why & root cause analysis), and with statistical techniques and data

analysis.

• Must have excellent communication skills with ability to interface directly with hourly employees as well as

management level of employee concerning manufacturing initiatives and progress updates.

• Must possess a high energy level with a strong work ethic.

• Good pc skills with knowledge of excel, word and outlook.

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and

memos in English.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented

in English.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the

organization.

• Two (2) years’ experience in the specialty vehicle or truck chassis manufacturing field preferred.

• Experience working with CAD. AutoCAD preferred.
